My website – a strengths-based exercise
I have just launched my new website – I’m very proud of it. Check it out. I could never have done it on my own. The whole experience has been that of a strengths-based team. Each person contributing their best to enable an end result that is much greater than I could ever have achieved in isolation.
The creative and technical skills were supplied by my nephew. I love that he’s family (& that he’s good - Check him out here. Long before I contacted him though there were others encouraging me. The excellent coaching, I received from Tina Wakefield was invaluable. She helped me get out of my head and look critically at my experience and training and the results of the work I had already done. Most importantly she helped me see the pathways forwards.
My skills are in coaching, personal and organisational development not marketing so Jason Biggs gave me masses of advice and help. He’s also a great CliftonStrengths coach.
Then there is Chris Miller. Chris is a CliftonStrengths coach working in similar areas to me and he was unfailingly kind and encouraging. It made a difference.
I’m no wordsmith – I know what I do and I can talk to you about it but clear written expression isn’t really my forte. I have several friends who are great natural editors and they checked over everything. I am so grateful to them.
When we each bring our best the results are always greater than would have been possible alone. I love working with teams and helping them develop a strengths-based culture.
